JSC "Pieno žvaigždės" employs almost 3,000 staff members. The number of employees naturally decreases with implementation of advanced production technologies and up-to-date methods of management. However, even today each company's production subsidiary, be it "Mažeikių pieninė", "Pasvalio sūrinė", "Panevėžio pienas" or "Kauno pienas", employs over five hundred employees of different professions. Five regional sales divisions in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Mažeikiai and Panevėžys, as well as the headquarters of JSC "Pieno žvaigždės" employ almost 300 sales people, including export, marketing, logistics, and transport people. Approximately thirty employees are involved in the administration and Company’s operations accounting.

 

          Average number of employees in 2006 was as follows: 618 in the company’s subsidiary "Mažeikių pieninė"; 608 – in "Pasvalio sūrinė"; 560 – in "Panevėžio pienas"; 650 – in "Kauno pienas"; 226 – in regional sales divisions, 45 – in the central administration of the Company.

 

          As for this day, average age of employees in the Company’s production subsidiaries is 43 years: the oldest worker is 73 years old, the youngest – 18.5 years old. Average age of employees working in sales divisions and the headquarters is 35 years: the oldest worker is 68 years old, the youngest – 18.5 years old.
